The minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration Kabo Morwaeng says government does not consider any of the actions of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security to be tarnishing government’s image, since they respect the rule of law.Morwaeng was responding to a question by Gaborone North MP Mpho Balopi, who was asking whether government will consider limiting DIS operations, and for other enforcement actions to be left to the Botswana Police Service. Morwaeng said there has only been 2 cases brought against the DIS for harassment which have been successfully defended before the courts. He further stressed the need for agencies to cooperate in order to deal with the evolving chains of criminal activities. | Duma FM
